[CQ] IR adv C5051i Color Registration Problem

Dear techs.I have came across this problem today and looking for your help with this issue.
Color registration is way out as you can see in attachment I took out the ITB and Drum units and they seem in pretty good shape.Auto Adjust Gradation,Correct shading didn't help.
Machine has 25K color and 11000 BK clicks on it.
Thanks a ton for your kind support.

Staggered Color Registration visible on PG10 on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series.

Remove all 4 Drum and Developer Units and carefully reseat them. This may resolve the issue.

_Did u try performing a REG CLR in service mode level 2_?
REG CLR in service mode level 2: Copier > Function > Clear > REG-CLR.

_After the clear, do a auto color mismatch adjustment

    Also_
Check the Shutter on the Patch Reader and clean the Registration Sensors.
Make sure the lens that covers the registration sensors is not scratched and causing a misread of the registration patches on the ITB Belt.
Registration Sensor Units may need to be replaced

Re: IR adv C5051i Color Registration Problem

Thank you very much tacket for the help
i have Re seated the Durm Units and ITB,cleaned the registration sensor and it's not scratched.
      Did
REG CLR clear in service mode level 2: Copier > Function > Clear > REG-CLR.

But Auto color mismatch adjustment is ending up with a message(Auto color mismatch adjustment was stopped,Start correction again).
Printed Out PG 6 and PG 10 and Yellow is visible in Horizontal lines but vertical lines seems fine and i see an issue with only yellow now in PG 6 .
      SUB SCAN.JPGsc7.jpgsc8.jpg

Pattern. because if i print something Yellow is overlapping on other colors or like Shadow.

Re: IR adv C5051i Color Registration Problem

It has been found that if the values under COPIER>ADJUST>IMG-REG are set to 0 color mismatch will fail.

Enter the values from the front door label.

"Auto Correct Color Mismatch was stopped. Start correction again. If this error continues to occur, contact your service representative."

        :-D
The issue may be caused by a faulty Patch Shutter operation. The Patch Shutter is operated by SL1 ( Registration Shutter Solenoid ) and a Shutter linkage. Verify that the Shutter linkage and Patch Shutter moves smoothly, and check the operation of SL1.

To check the Patch Shutter & SL1 operation: Remove the ITB Belt front cover and locate SL1. Actuate the front door switch, enter Service Mode, Function, Part check, <SL=1>, and activate SL-ON.

          Tacket Thanks a ton man.

I have got it working and see this screenshot attached, the shutter wasn't actually linked with Shutter.
Still no clue how that shutter nob pop out of that housing.

Re: IR adv C5051i Color Registration Problem(Noise)

One more thing i thought i could take it down but failed So i need your advise on this. That horrible Noise coming from upper right side.
At every start up or end of the copy job sounds like coming from fuser(Tak..Tak...Tak..Tak),i have took out the fuser Lubricated the fuser film(sleeve) and pressure release system Cams but still no luck.

I'm sure it's isn't from drum or ITB section.

Popping Noise is Heard from the Right Side of the Copier

noise is prevalent, when the fixing motor turns on . Turning on motors in Service Mode failed to help diagnose the problem.

Replace the Fixing Drive Assembly to resolve the issue (FM3-5967-000).

Thumping noise in the fixing assembly

the brake for the cam in the fixing assembly may be slipping.
Follow the steps below to remove the grease and provide a better grip for the leaf spring to resolve the noise issue.

On the rear side of the fixing assembly, remove the black plastic cover shown in the photo below.

Next, remove the silver bracket with the leaf spring shown below.

Using alcohol, wipe off all of the grease from the tan gear and black cam shown below.

Then, wipe off all of the grease on the leaf spring using alcohol and rough up the surface of the leaf spring that contacts the tan gear with Scotch Brite.

                Reassemble the fixing assembly.

You have a problem with CYAN as it seems laser its not writing in the right position or you have a problem with ITB registration roller.
