[CQ] C5185 duplex 11x17 color prints blur on last part of trail edge image?

I have just replaced the transfer belt now this is showing up. 11x 17 color prints are blurring only sometimes on the last part of the trail edge. Seeing this mostly on the 3rd sheet through. This copier had a cut in the belt causing the blade to flip so I replaced the whole transfer belt assembly but this issue showed up so I moved the belt back to the old assembley that I took out previously hoping to fix the issue but this keeps happening. I have done a dc-con dump and reprogram thinking that it is a paper timing issue but as far as I can tell it is being put on the belt this way and then transferred to the paper. I attached a scan of the issue i am seeing Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Depending on the specific media and image fault, adjust the below mentioned Service Mode values until
desired image quality fault and/or image shift are within specification.


SERVICE MODE (Level 2) > COPIER > OPTION > BODY


REG-SPD: "Fine adjustment (Plain paperFront to Rear Trail Edge Blur (approximately 120mm from the trail edge) that may appear on the image due to the paper tension or paper arch between the Registration Roller and the Secondary
Transfer Roller.
- The second side of a printed or copied document has shifted out of specification (2.5 +/- 2.0mm leading edge margin on the 2nd side).
Use this mode when adjusting the process speed for plain paper.
Setting values
- 5 to + 5
- Default (factory) setting/ value after RAM clear: 0
Increasing (decreasing) the setting value by ""1"" accelerate (decelerate) the delivery speed of the roller by ""0.5%"". (Example: Changing the value from 0 to - 2 decelerate the speed by 1.0 %.)

REG-SPD2:thick paper Front to Rear Trail Edge Blur REG-SPD3: "Fine adjustment (Transparency/Glossy paper) of the registration roller speed.
Execute the fine adjustment of Registration Roller speed in this mode to improve:
- Front to Rear Trail Edge Blur (approximately 120mm from the trail edge) that may appear on the image due to the paper tension or paper arch between the Registration Roller and the Secondary
Transfer Roller.
- The second side of a printed or copied document has shifted out of specification (2.5 +/- 2.0mm leading edge margin on the 2nd side).

This might be a misregistration issue. DCON clear resolved a misregistration and blur image problem for me on IRC4080. Get your P-print beforehand anyway. Good luck.

OK so some more testing has reviled that the issue is not only on duplex but single sided as well.
I printed single sided 12x18 10 sheets full color and 3 out of 10 had this issue where magenta begins to fall out of alignment but the next page it is right on. attached is a sample of the issue in color. you need to really zoom in on the left side (or lead edge) of the document the issue is shown.

what I have done since my last post...

I have replaced the transfer belt with a new one. (just Belt)

I have tried all settings on the service level 2 in the reg-spd 1,2,3

I have done another Dcon Clear and reset of settings

full adjust quick adjust x 4

pg-6 is spot on total black lines in both directions

pg 10 is great no issues but sorry no scan of it

Color mis reg. About 100 other posts for this problem. Just search for color misregistration on 3200 or 5185. Clean the itb black internal drive rolls really good. Make sure pattern reader is clean. Make sure all bearings in itb are ok. Make sure secondary external transfer roller is not stiff to turn. What weight and type of media is this printed on? Need more info
