Hello so l have canon ir2420 to repaired there ..firstly this machine have this message : updating fw
Latest version : 12/04/2010

So in my opinion l should be updating her fw ..to contacted my laptop with this machine by usb ...please how version of sst l use this operation ..cause l have lot of version but l need have more information about this operation .

Go to service mode and select download.
System software programs to be downloaded need to be registered in the SST.
Use the latest sst of your many versions.

Don't power off when data writing!

thank you ..but if l try enter service mode ...but unfortunate l can't enter please help other how version sst you use it .. v321e ; v334ej...; v463eg....

Use highest version but they must work with all version.
Service mode on this model is standard but 28 is not at the same time if I remember...

my latest sst version l have is 463eg ...l trying enter service mode by * 2 8 * ok .....but l can't ...it have any idea ?

Did you try not the same time 2 and 8?



Press the Additionalfunctions
key, 2key, 8key, Additional functions
key sequentially.

Using the Service Mode in canon IR2420:

[Method of entering the service mode]:
Press the Additional Functions key and # key, then enter the service mode.

[Method of operation the service mode]:
Select the service menu using the upper/lower/left/right keys and OK key.

well ...l have question ...if l check the mother board of this ir2420 and making there in other ir 2420 l can do it this operation ..cause the problems only consisted this mother board section ?

Turn the machine on while holding down 2+8 keys will take you into save download mode, then you can install the firmware

well my friend Copier Tech if l making the mother board of this bad machine and l making in another same model ..l can slove this machine ?

Yes I guess you could swap the dc controller board if you have a spare
