[Dead] canon ir2022: frozen: connection to pc is completed message

Machine boots and just says connection to pc is completed and shows an ip address of 192.168.0.215 (which is not the address that was assigned to it)

No functions or buttons work, cannot access service mode.

When booted without network cable plugged in, just shows a message: waiting...

Tried connecting machine with a network crossover cable to my laptop with a static ip 192.168.0.200 and can ping 192.168.0.215, but cannot access web interface. Didn't have print driver, but tried with a similar Canon driver and generic hp LaserJet4 driver and prints failed.

Tired booting with dongle from net board removed, same results, swapped ram, let machine sit at waiting...., never codes out our displays anything else.

Not sure what to try next, was thinking of pulling battery on net controller to reset network config.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

I forgot to mention, the machine was functioning perfect and printing yesterday.

Also computer recognizes machine when usb plugged in and shows same connection is completed message, but without the ip address. Still was unable to print

I'd start by updating the firmware, it it is up to date rewrite it. Im guessing you can boot into safe mode in order to update the fw?

I do not have the firmware for this machine, if anybody can supply it to me our let me know where to find It, I would appreciate it. Also how do you boot the machine in safe mode, and what type of card is required for firmware?

You can use any USB pen drives under 4GB

Heres a link to the firmware & service manual, you'll need to copy & paste the link into your browser.
