    bizhub C454 - ADF jam code 23

    Jam code 23 - "Misfeed detected. Remove paper as indicated by the circle"

    The circle is in ADF - Pickup rollers are down, no drive from the motor.

    Jam code 23 doesn't exists in the service manual - Replaced ADF Board - no change*

    Checked sensors and the document path again - ok

    Any ideas please?

      Is that the jam code you get from service mode? should be like J66-XX

          Print a management list to get more detailed #s about what is occuring.

              If that is the dual scan adf then check the cis cover and latch. If the latch sensor actuator is broke it will not clear the adf jam.
              And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

                  Yes, jam removal prompts aren't terribly useful. What we need is jam codes from the management list. =^..^=

                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                      the jam code followed by CD010 error - took me 3 hours to do HDD format, download znd install movie data, a couple of firmware levels and restoring the address book and some default settings ... what an extensive labour machine not to mention that it was a coverage call. KonicaMinolta is the best copier to keep techs employed.

                              It is really helpful to print off that management list. You can see all the errors ... even the ones that aren't displayed.

                              For me the longest part of the process is downloading the firmware. Congratulations on your success. =^..^=

                                      summon the dead he says.

                                      had the same code from customer. did as suggested to look at management list and found two occurances on different date.

                                      And it was this jam code

                                      66-13

                                      for ADF 701, this can be due to ps2 malfunctioning. if you tape up ps3(reg sensor),you get code 24. (picture in manual seem very unintuitive)
