[Error Code] Bizhub 283 with C-D272

Hello all,

could someone help me out please?
I cannot find any info about this error code on a BH 283: C-D272.
When I switch on the copier it calls for SSD format but the buttons are numb, and about 10sec later the code comes up. Screen and buttons are still dead, no noise from th machine, like frozen.
HDD, cables and connectors checked.
I have the SM, but no info related can be found in it.

Any _real_ help would be appretiated.

If i recall correctly, you can only format SSD if HDD is set too "not installed". SSD format is availible where format HDD was...

Nope. After start-up "Format SSD" (or so) comes up on the screen but all keys are dead also the screen not responding to touch. After 10sec more it produces the error msg. I got the error description above, so I'll get this back on the right path soon.

Are you looking in the correct manual? This is from the service manual for a Konica Minolta Bizhub 283.

CD272 i-Option activated and
additional memory and
HDD not installed
• While the i-Option is activated, the additional
memory included in UK-203 and the
HDD are not installed.

This a service bulletin I found.

CD272 after disabling the HDD for test purpose and switching OFF/ON the MFP. Unable to enter the Service Mode to enable the HDD again, which is necessary to get rid of the trouble code.

Workaround/Fix
CAUSE: Incorrect procedure.

SOLUTION: Please follow these steps in sequence.
1. Switch OFF the MFP
2. Remove the optional i-Option memory (UK-203).
3. Switch ON the MFP and enter Service Mode.
4. Enable HDD.
5. Exit Service Mode and switch OFF the MFP.
6. Reinstall the optional i-Option memory.
7. Check MFP functions.

Well, shame on me: the error code section of the manual I got was sent as the correct one - it wasn't.
