Bizhub C203 , How to reset Image Unit Counter

Hi,
I need to know if someone can help me to reset the counter for Image Unit: C, M, Y, K.
The technician is asking 75$ for each to reset it.
I am computer literate, I know it should be easy. So is there any one can help me. I need to learn this. thanks

It's reset by the chip on the drum unit itself. You can buy the chips for cheap off line. They might go a second life cycle but chances are they will fail soon. There should be instructions included.

Yea buy the chips and do it yourself. Its OK if a tech does it but $300 for a set is a bit steep.
Here where i am it would cost about 150 X 4 plus 700 labour would be about $90.
The chips can also be reused by rewriting them.

a place by me resets the chips for 20.00 each but IMHO its like turning a used prophylactic inside out to use it again.

Can some one guide me if it's possible to reset the counters for

• Image Unit (K) Reset
• Image Unit (C) Reset
• Image Unit (M) Reset
• Image Unit (Y) Reset
• Image Transfer Belt Unit Reset

by upgrading the firmware or any good source to buy reset chips.
And what would be the things to pay attention to accomplish the task.

This is a site where those expensive techs help each other out. how would you react to sombody, going to a site, asking you to tell them how to do your job, so they didn't have to pay you to do it?

Exactly. There's a way to shut off the drum messages, but it's not something that an end user like the OP is capable of doing anyway.
