    Konica 7145 HDD Error

I'm trying to setup a scan to box on a Konica 7145, with an HDD installed. I've formatted the HDD and it shows the correct capacity and everything, but when I create a User Box and try to complete a scan, the data light stays lit and never goes off. When I check the Job List during a scan, it says Scanning, Converting, Waiting, Processing, Waiting, then just disappears.

When I check the capacity after a couple scans, it shows a few MB used. When using the Pagescope Box Operator, it can never connect to the machine. I've tried bypassing everything and going straight from a laptop right to the machine, and nothing. Printing works with the IP address though.

    Any ideas?

If the HDD is new to the machine, you may need a firmware upgrade before this machine can work with a higher capacity HDD than it was originally configured for.

    It's a start.

I agree, check the firmware. There was an issue with older firmware causing premature failure of the HDD. I had one which killed two drives before I upgraded.
