    What model cipier\IC-xxx?
    Maybe you need the latest CWS downloaded from efi.com?
    We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

        Re: EFI ES-1000 Spectrophotometer

        You need to generate license file for Color Profiler Suite here:

        EFI License Fulfillment

        You can use License Activation Code (LAC), or just your ES-1000 serial number. When your spectro is not licenced at all, you will get an error message.
        Sometimes you can get 2nd hand spectro without any documents, then above website can help you check, if it's connected to CPS licence or not.

        When your ES-1000 has got licence for CPS, the site will show you a _maximum_ version of Color Profiler Suite for your spectro - newer versions will not work!

        Download and save your licence to your computer's desktop. The license file must be on the desktop for activation to occur.
        Then, i
        n the Color Profiler Suite main window, click Help > Activate License.

          Hi mate

          thanks for your reply

          Ive clicked the link, entered the serial number and this is the error code i receive

          The EFI Spectrophotometer you entered does not correlate to a licensed CPS. Please re-enter your EFI Spectrophotometer serial number or enter the License Activation Code (LAC) that came with your software.

            Re: EFI ES-1000 Spectrophotometer

            As I remember, there should be also a sheet of paper with Licence Code (LAC) somewhere between the other documents in your package.

            With licensed ES-1000 you should have in your bundle:
            * Eye-One Pro Spectrophotometer and Calibration Plate with matching SN.
            * USB cable
            * Positioning Target
            * Flat Panel holder
            * Scanning White board
            * Documentation
            * License (LAC) - and probably serial number (I don't remember)
            * Certification of Performance
            * Software CD with drivers and Color Profiler Suite (version maching your license)
            * Carrying Bag

            However there were ES-1000 (as well as ES-2000) versions without licence for Color Profiler Suite.

            Basically ES-1000 without license is almost worthless nowdays. You can do only linearization with Command Workstation.

            Or you can try to use free software like Argyll or Coloris.

              Re: EFI ES-1000 Spectrophotometer

              lets start with this...

              what are you trying to do? How do you need to use it?

              making profiles?
              Calibrating monitors?

              CWS and Onyx all recognize it internally.

                  To create a profile through the ES-1000, you will need a license and software.

                  By the CWS, just calibration, or buy CWS license
