    IC 408 Network issue

    hi all,

    IC 408 dose not connect to the pc,i have re installed the fiery software and also cleared the cmos but still fails to respond or connect. any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

      1) try for pinging
      2) if not possible go through scan if you locate IP address

      try pinging again

          Try manually setting the IP address if you have not already...
          When you connect the Ethernet cord are the leds on the port lighting up?

              Are you using the correct network connector? I once reinstalled the system software on one just to find out that the customer had changed the cable from one port to the other...

                          one of the buttons on the panel will show the IP address.
                          there are 2 lan ports on the fiery, use the bottom one.
                          the scsi cable from fiery to the video interface, reseat it.
                          just some basic suggestions.
                          oh, what model copier? on the newer ones there are bit switches to change.
                          We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                          The medication helps though...
