    Biz 601 ADF strange problem

    ADF will jam, machine will stop, jam indicated at ADF top door. Weird thing is ADF continues to run until you turn machine off and back on. Also there is always paper jammed under the white platen on bottom of ADF.
    I didn't have time to look at it today, I was there to service 2 other machines. Just gave it a quick look, blew out sensors and it still did it. It is intermittent but happen 2 times when I was there.

    Anyone ever see this? Figured I would throw it on the forum before heading back out.

      It happened to me when I replaced the rollers and accidentally pinned the detect sensor behind the feed ass'y

          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                      Not to be lost, my point was if the adf is continuously running it think it has paper so you should be able to focus in on the detect sensor/actuator

                          Thanks JR2, after I left account I was thinking it was probably the sensor getting hung up. First thing I will check when I go back. What threw me off was ADF motor continued to run even with adf lifted or top door open. What ever happen to "safety" interlock switch, ha-ha. Jap's are usually overkill with the interlock crap.

                          Will post what I find.

                              I've had the motor for the pre-read rollers spin in the wrong direction intermittently and it was the ADF control board. That was pretty obvious though.
