bizhub 421 poor printing output

gday guys

our bizhub 421 printer is printing documents and missing a section of ink about a quarter down the page

so on a particular page youll see a white line horizontally across an A4 sheet about a centimeter thick

ive sprayed the inside of the printer out with circuit board spray and tried to get the crap off the rollers, it hasnt helped

not sure what else to do, any ideas?

Scan in and post an image, and tell us feed direction. Always helpful. Could be a Dev unit.

could be dirty t corona, charge corona or blank spot in dev unit. transfer corona tend to blank out on these esp when dirty. they wont code until they short complety for 5 times in a row.

thanks guys

we actually have another clone of this 421 printer in the shed

i could swap bits off it, which is what i did with the big fusing unit when the faults started occurring

i really dont know what your talking about with components, but if could lead me to a few links that would be brilliant

its the weekend im only here at work for a half hour but by tuesday can reply thoroughly

i will also get a photo of the output asap

so heres the issue any ideas why this is happening?.....

(inkless area on right side)

the developer unit does look to have a ink dust trails on the roller where this ink is missing

do i have to take the fusing unit out to get the dev unit out??

It may be something blocking the laser from hitting the drum in that area.

well oh my god, i cleaned the pins you mentioned from behind the front small door

and cleaned the slit glass and its printing fine now

unbelievable a 20 second job

which do we believe did it, the slit or cleaning the pins?

how do i clean the coroner champ

If the charge corona was being blocked he would have been getting black lines, not void lines.
