    C6500 TRAY 5 WON'T OPEN

Hi, all HAPPY CINCO........I picked up a used c6500 for parts and when it got to my floor the tray 5 won't open. When I inspected the machine it was fine. Maybe the movers knocked something out but I checked all the connections to the board and nothing........ Any ideas?????CHEERS

stick your pinky in the hole and lift the tray lock latch
the wire to the handle switch can come loose. do you hear the solenoid activate?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Yes, I hear the selenoid. Got it open, your suggestion is dead on. Most likely the switch came loose in transit. Thanks.

Warning: Sometimes the edges of that little hole are really sharp. I got a very nice slice halfway around pinky doing just that.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

too late, but thanks anyway. That tab is very sharp............It's nice to get things running and that is what we do.

On mine (C6501) the plastic on the handle that holds the sensor broke, so it would activate, easy fix with parts.
