[Misc] Bad quality when printing - Konica C220 - what's wrong?

    Hello everyone,

i'm new in this forum so i'll try to explain my problem

i have konica C220, it has only 85.000 cps now, i already change all drum and tonner but during 4 weeks, i've got bad printing quality.

It means that when i print something with full page colored, sometimes, not always (2/5 times) there are many traces on the paper.

I've attached some file to show you the one that is good and those traces.

    Hope someone will help,

    Thanks to all youSKMBT_C22017061912440.jpgSKMBT_C22017061912450.jpg

transfer belt? dirty lasers? print out your single color patterns and see if it affects one color or all 4...then go from there...

Thank for your reply, i've tried printing seperatly and it shows the same traces on each.

i'll try to take out the laser componment and i'll clean it and then i'll be back to you again.

      thanks again

if it's affecting all 4 colors it wouldnt be the laser...likely transfer belt or fuser then
and you don't have to take lasers out to clean them...that's what the grey wand is for...usually in tray one I think on that model...or inside the front cover door....you know the thing customers never use lol

okok, i will use the grey wand, they are located in the front. I looked at the fuser and there are no traces, but on the transfert belt there are some traces like on printing paper.
Does it mean that i have to change the transfer belt?
How to explain that sometimes the print quality is good and sometimes it is bad?

your transfer belt is a consumable part just like you image units. Also what type of paper are you printing on and do you make changes to the paper settings to accommodate for it?

i use normal paper 80g, it's alzays the same traces even if i use a thick1 or thick2 paper.
i don't understand why sometimes it's clear and sometimes many traces on printing.

resetting the count will not make it print any better, usually worse because it will change the voltage supplied on an old belt.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                  The medication helps though...

if i understand, i can change the voltage of the transfert belt for better quality (even for not long time), but do i have to down or up the voltage?

                    thanks

Transfer belt on this series must be replaced. The C353 and C364 series have rebuild kits for the transfer belt, but I've not been able to find a rebuild kit for the C360 series.
