[Misc] Scan quality C554e vs C452

A customer with these 2 models (located at opposite ends of their office) is scanning documents with color filled in spreadsheet cells &/or other colored backgrounds & getting different results.

The C554e reproduces the "background" colors but the C452 seems to erase it but puts a thin color border line around cells.

Background erase was set to Darkest in both instances hoping to retain the color instead of having it erased.
Filetype is PDF / Compact PDF
Optics are clean.

I seem to not be able to find any support docs relating to scan quality of this nature. Any advise appreciated.

You'll need to compare the other default scanner settings too, like:

DPI: 200, 300, 400, 600
Original Type: Text, Text/Photo, Photo, etc

They will make a huge difference.

You might also clean the scanner optics on the affected machine(s). =^..^=

Also bear in mind the age difference between these two models. The 'e' series will have later technology, hardware & software so I would expect that to print & scan with better results.
