bizhub c450 display in japanese language?

Have customer with C450 with Japanese language in display. Saw procedure in user settings after pressing utility counter.
The problem is can't understand the japanese in order to select setting . Also customer cannot copy scan or print. the
machine does not respond. I appreciate your help very much. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

you will need too use a reset tool it mind is scrambled. probably power surge

What is a reset tool Woxner?

Hi Jr2Alta. Are you suggesting I google search the translation for each step in procedure. copy them and then go to customer and
hopefully i will see these same translations and be able to make correct selections? A little scary but might work. I think I would
prefer to tell customer I would be unable to help in this situation. Now if I knew a tech that knew Japanese that would be helpful.

The icons are in the same position no matter which language you select..System 1 is right above system 2 etc. If you can find a machine in the US market, just follow it as a guide. I don't have anything that old to ref, but system 1 should be the 3rd icon down/left side. Marketing area should be top choice in system 1, US is top row middle icon. Emujo

even if its japan it should respond with the buttons. but if nothing works you will most likely need this reset tool to reset nvram. then you can start over

There is an NVRAM initialize firmware that may help.

Thanks guys but I have decided to pass on this as too much risk for too little reward. Have left message with customer that I would not be able to help. If I knew a local very savvy Konica tech I would pay generously him to take care of it. Frank

That is a wise decision, these old boxes are not worth repairing, especially this C450, had many annoying issues, dumping developer was the worst!
