Hey gang.... Another puzzler.I have a C364e that when the customer scans to email, the image of the pdf file created is actually shrunk by a fairly substantial bit...maybe 5-7%. It doesn't do that when making a copy.Current settings are...300 dpi- Auto color- Standard PDF. I had to enable edge erase to remove the border on the trailing edge of a scanned pdf until I figure out the fix.Has anyone else seen this, and if so what can I do to adjust it? The client is a bit.... "Persnickety" about their image quality. Thanks in advance...

Re: C364e shrinking PDF scan to email?
What reduction? Auto reduction? You can default it to 100%. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: C364e shrinking PDF scan to email?
They're opening the PDF with Adobe Reader. It's multiple computers on their network, and they are scanning to email...not SMB/desktop scans.Comment

Re: C364e shrinking PDF scan to email?
Identical result..PDF slightly smaller than the original (maybe 5-8%?). Customer is using a Gmail account for SMTP, and just recently noticed the problem. Their machine was replaced 6-7 months ago with a refurbished unit, but nothing was said until last week or so.Comment

Could it be an A4 to letter issue?Comment

Re: C364e shrinking PDF scan to email?
Have you tried factory defaults for Scan function?
Reloading firmware? Or downgrade and then upgrade? Changing function version down and up?
Does the self diagnosis come OK in Service mode?

Re: C364e shrinking PDF scan to email?
Machine was set to defaults when installed...they only recently noticed the shrinking of the files, so it's likely been happening since it was delivered.
We installed the most recent firmware before we even brought it out to the customer. All diagnostics check OK... Strangely, it only happens on scan to file/email. If you make a copy, everything is well within specs....just those pesky PDF files are giving me fits.Comment
