Is that possible? I am being told yes and No.

I have gone into the dip switches DIPSW 2-1 (1) On

Set my NIC Ip to a range that is will pick up.

Connected to the appropriate LAN on the machine.

Is it futile? Can you only print via a controller?

    good day
The error presented by your fiery must be due to the defective HDD, I recommend you replace it and load the operating system.

Do not try 2.0 unless you have had the bios and ram upgrade already installed.

I'm also interested in the software image after a HDD crash. I managed to clone the OS and Backup partition, but the one labeled "Fiery" has got a lot of bad sectors and unreadable files. It's for Fiery X3eTY2-10. Can I get it, please, if I also contribute?

    Thank you!

Thanks Synthohol! I didn't even need to restore the software! When reading the instructions, I ran across the section for printing out the configuration settings to prepare for the reconfiguration, and out of curiosity I started comparing the settings from now to 3 years ago and noticed that the darn network Ethernet speed was incorrect!!

It's been 5 months holding off and thinking my Fiery went bad! What a relief!!

Thank you so much though! You still helped lead me into a solution, and I still have the software JUST IN CASE!

Re: Fiery showing FF on c6500 ic408

Fiery boots up and shows FF error sometimes, but always works if I reboot the printer and then the fiery while the printer is warming up. BUT, I can't send any files much larger than 1MB to the fiery!!? And if I send anything larger it takes hours to load into the fiery, OR the fiery disconnects.

Archived jobs in the fiery print just fine, is this a system software issue? A HDD issue? Or should I just upgrade to the external fiery ic-305?

I don't have the system software, and I'm not sure of what HDD to get if I have to replace that too.. I can get the ic-305 for $1300 if I trade in my malfunctioning ic-408 from an ebay seller --> Konica Minolta FIERY IC-305-PLUS* Server *UPGRADE* from IC-408 X3eTY2 Controller | eBay

Not sure what to do as I have to print many jobs this next week.. :/

Any feedback/assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
