Re: Toner Yield or average In Konica c6000
spec is like 30k for colors and 40k for black.
but the higher the coverage the lower the yield. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though... -

if all the consumables are good and the proper image adjustments are made you can get more clicks from the bottles.
you may just need good engine and controller calibrations.
if the drums/DV are past life then there's your answer. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Re: Toner Yield or average In Konica c6000
Are you sure only 16% fill? Most of the color presses I see are doing 200% fill or more on every page. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Toner Yield or average In Konica c6000
industry specs call for ONLY 5% coverage when they calculate the % given in their specs... you have 3 TIMES that coverage on the page .. so to me it sounds like you are right in line with what they project.Comment

Here is a really old bulletin I've saved because it has perfect examples of coverage as well as how to calculate what you might expect to get out of a toner bottle. This is bulletin #4983 from Konica Minolta dated 12/23/04.

Wait, what?! 200% or more?? How can you even have more than 100% coverage?

Toner is layered each color over the next, so a composite black with 100%Y 100%C 100%M 40%K=340% fill. Take a look at this Pantone Color Chart. If you do some simple math many of these patches exceed 100% fill.

So what would you call it if you had a page that was covered 60% yellow, 60% cyan, 60% magenta, 60% black? 4 x 60% = 240% fill.

The Japanese,USA produced color toner is 630 grams, Germany France etc. Europe product color toner is 850 grams. I have used Japanese toners and have a short life span, so I am importing and using European toners.Comment
