I'm curious how it turns out as well. I can see it making a difference with boards or possibly even drums (although a black drum *should* work in both color and monochrome machine of the same series...) but the op panel only displays the information it was sent? But I have been wrong once or twice, so it may very well happen again. Eventually. ;-)

I wonder if it makes a difference putting a color machine's control panel on a b/w vs. the opposite like the OP was inquiring about. My only thought is that maybe the color panels have extra stuff the b/w machine doesn't need so it works OK but if the b/w panel is missing something the color needs, it might not work.

Yes, they are. No firmware required. Done that from a donour C224e to a 224e

Does anyone know if the control panel from a BH364e will work on a C364e? I realise the part numbers are different, but KonMin will sometimes put different part numbers on parts that are the same.
