C552 color registration issue

Hi Guys

have a colour reg issue on our C552

ive followed field manual page 728 (18.3.33 Printer 4-color: incorrect color image registration)

cleaned transfer belt (although not dirty)
cleaned transfer roller on door
fuser is brand new.

but color reg is off. and its not equally off over the entire page. the Y axis is ok at the start, but completely out at the end.

ive attached all the warnings i can find.

Look for the oil can at the bottom of the screen. If there is one, tap it to display any P codes.

I had something similar that turned out to be the LPH driver board.

Those are Life Warnings for M,Y,K imaging units

Means your color imaging units M & Y and K drum are past end of life. Might want to replace those first and go from there.

It started to happen after replacing the fuser unit

forgetting those C Y M drums etc. what else can it be?

I do need to strip down the machine and clean everything. but thats a mission and a half.

There is a loop sensor just before the fuser entrance that can cause lead to trail color alignment issues.

It's PS41 and PS42 in the manual. I've never had an issue with them but others have. The picture is with the fuser removed to expose the sensors.

I'd start by removing the transfer unit & cleaning the patch sensors & printhead glass might be all it needs.

However if the transfer unit or K image unit are way over life you will get this issue & they will need to be replaced.

Does it ever make a good color copy or print? The Fuser sensor usually only has a problem when running multiple pages in a run. If you open and close big front cover, machine
runs a quick calibration. Then run a print job. Is registration ok?

Agree, especially if issue appeared after Fuser change. Check both photo interrupter sensors(they are the same), actuators and spring.
