    [Misc] Drum counters on 8 series, partial count reset issues

    The start date goes to machines original start date ( not to current day) for newly installed OEM drum.

    Searched the site no luck.

    see if you change the maintenance counter if that helps?
    otherwise its still not an issue, as long as there is no end date you are ok.
    We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

      try updating base firware and the do special. then set sw 25 to B0. i know we have a problem with these using paper cut or vcare not reporting properly

        Although it's now too late, check that the correct date and time are set (and not really the same issue as you are having but similar). I had something similar happen on a C558 a few weeks ago, not noticing the date/time were off by 2 1/2 years. When I replaced whichever consumable it was, it showed the incorrect start date that was on the machine at the time. When I corrected the date and time, it didn't change the start date, unfortunately.
