Looks like a small piece of the exit arm assembly was snapped off
now the fun is going to be to figure out how to replace that

I've never seen a C35, you have to take the rear covers off, and the covers below the exit, the scanner plugs into the board behind that cover, it's a really easy job

If you’re talking about the exit actuator on the guide that lifts up over the fuser, there’s a way of doing it without stripping anything.

Lift the guide up and look for a screw on the left side of the guide as you look at it.

If you undo that, the top cover slides to the right and comes off. The actuator sits in the part that’s left.

Swap it out, refit cover and screw, job done.

just be careful the return spring doesn’t disappear as you remove it.

Its a fiddly job but can be done inside 10 minutes with a bit of practice.

Does the c35 and c3350 use the same exit switch?

If you’re referring to the actuator then yes.

Also fits c3110 and c3100p to my knowledge.

God bless you I have the same error in tray 2 of that same c3350 printer. And tray 1 Meda paper jam error. 11-02. Could you give me more information about the part you are referring to?
