    is easier and cheaper buying non-original color developer ,clealing unit and put the new developer in.

      i have never tried or looked at buying non genuine DV512 for the machine. Was not aware there was any out there. do you know who suppliers are?

          Not sure if this is something I should post publically but yes you can use a black developer unit in place of color with chip change. Run 60 11x17 halftones of color you want black to become, after around 40 pages you will see the black turn to the color you are replacing. After 60 pages it will be converted to new color. I've done this several times and it works fine!

          Now that I've saved you over $500+ (price of color unit) and anyone else who uses this PLEASE make a small contribution to this site. I will make note of your name and will look next time you ask for something if you have contributed to this site. It is not mandatory to make donation but a lot of the techs here will answer a lot faster if they see that you are a contributer.
