    C364e not seeing fs534

    Hi all
    Sitting with an issue with a C364e.
    The machine does not see/pickup the finisher (fs534).
    I have changed the fs board,power supply and printer control board. The harness tests fine (continuity) from end to end. The fs gets the correct voltages.
    I have upgrade firmware but finisher doesnt appear when loading firmware. Not isolated in service mode.
    The ru hasnt got a board so doubt thats causing the issue.
    All pins are straight.
    Any advise?

      Maybe add FS serial to machine as installed option?

          Replace the ru
          We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...

              You've covered a lot of ground. I'll be interested in hearing the solution. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  Maybe this can be useful. I have had a similar problem with a JS506. Even when updating the firmware, the MFP did not recognize this option.
                  I then installed on another C364e and I updated the firmware. After re-installing the JS506 on the previous C364e, the MFP recognized the option.
                  In your case, the RU that might have something has a corrupt firmware.

                      I've seen something similar that references a s/n cut in and would say something like finisher s/n X cannot be used with machines newer than S/N X. You would not have to "enable" the finisher in service mode. I do not have the time to review all the tech bullitins regarding this so I would hope this jogs someone's memory. Have you tried a different model or different 534? E

                          Turned out being the ru blowing the fs control board.
