Looks terrible! Never had an issue like that thankfully. Maybe I should say, yet...
A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

i use my spring hook tool to wedge it in the groove.
i gotta find some old bh600 rubber corona holders, that sounds like a good fix as well.
The part can still be ordered from KM, I asked the other day

Off topic: Kyocera sold a ledger/A3 sized external paper deck PF-660 for the KM-8030. Almost every customer I had with one of these eventually loaded two stacks of letter on the lift tray. Naturally the paper deck can only take paper off the left stack. Once it had used about 50mm of the left stack, the right stack was pressed very tightly up against the top of the deck, and the right cables would snap like over-tight guitar strings. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Works when you just put something in the gap.
