C6100 Installation - DIY or Hire Pro?

I have the following all brand new:
    1 KM C6100
    1 PF-707m Paper Feeder
    1 RU-518
    1 Fiery IC-313
1 PF-503 (currently working on another press)

Is hooking up a printer as simple as leveling devices and hooking them together or does it require a $1500-2000 installation team?

If you can get ahold of a manual and read through it you can probably do it yourself. It is likely to be a bit more involved than 'level and hook together'
I'm not familiar with this specific machine but I know that many require between 5-15 initialization settings and adjustments to be made. I'm not gonna say it's outside the realm of possibility but get a service manual and take your time. It will likely cost more to have a tech find out what setting\adjustment mishap you had than it would cost for them to just do it for you.

All depends on what experience you have installing copiers?

If you are experienced enough do it yourself, or deliver it yourself & have a qualified instal team set it up etc.

putting aside confidence for a moment, do you have a densitometer like the es-2000?
if not, you cant properly calibrate the fiery and the colors may never be correct.
        just something to consider.

If you're asking this question, I'm gonna assume you don't have much, if any, experience. This in only my opinion, but considering all the options that need to be installed, I would pay someone to do the job right. That's just me.

I am not worried about the Fiery, Fiery Tech will come out to set up hot folders/etc for free. I'll tell him to bring the densitometer.

I found the service manual for $13 online. I have someone good at following a manual.

I checked with one of my warehouse guys and they were worried a little bit about connections between accessories.

I am willing to pay $600 to install this for 2 hours of work but everyone is giving me the run around. The two KMBS dealers one wont respond the other quoted me $2000+ which I felt was them telling me to take a hike.

It's not definetely 2 hours of work. I install an office machine that time. But for free.

Two guys installed my C6000 in 2 hours last time. It felt less than an hour as more time was spent breaking boxes and pallets.

Worst case scenario we dont get anywhere and we hire tech?

No... Worst case scenario is the machine gets damaged.

is that likely if we are careful not to break connectors/etc?

That's really hard to say without knowing your level of comfort\familiarity with the types of connectors. If experience level is zero then it's definitely a possibility... Some of the connectors can be temperamental, the ribbons are fragile, ESD is a thing, and settings and adjustments can be convoluted. Like I said in my first post, I'm not one to generally discourage DIY but you need to be aware of and comfortable with the risk and I'll double down on what I said before, read the manual. Carefully. Twice.

Is this coming out of your pocket? If this is a business or something I would strongly recommend having the company pay for it just for the peace of mind knowing it's correct.

This is totally impossible regarding install main unit options and calibrations tests.
Wait for a tech willing to apply in your request.

Maybe because the machine was used?

your OP says ALL brand new.

are they not including setup/assembly instructs in the cartons?
