    konica minolta c250i wont come off preparing scan and user box message

    as stated above it wont come off those messages constant orange light on left. ironically I was in and we went to network and simply unselected dhcp and it went right into a do not turn copier off.. registering data etc.. for like an hour it was st uck so I had no option ... now It copies just fine but won't turn off the indicator. consequently cant get into admin.. any thoughts> ? brand new machine just out of the box with 4 copies p lus I ran it the other day to get a machine management list as I do with all my copiers can I get any help? thanks brent

    Well if it's brand new I'd send it back to KM under warranty. If that's not un a option try updating the firmware & if you can enter CE mode do a network reset.

      It seems when Konicas are set to DHCP and don't have a network connection they will say "preparing scan/fax" forever trying dhcp over and over and over. The timeout is configurable via dip switch.

      Anyway, I would boot in trouble reset mode and initialize network (or initialize all) since it's a new machine. Make sure to connect it to a network with DHCP and reboot. Hopefully it'll clear out whatever setting it's getting stuck on.
      Worked in IT for 12 years from Helpdesk up to System Administrator. Now working as the IT Manager at a copier company for the last 4 years.

          I did a reset on the back of the panel the two yellow buttons.. but that didnt help so I will reserch into a network reset thank you

            well I am a dealer. it seems easier to ask here as I get great results here. I cant send it back I bought 4 machines to receive quota accolades lol
