    [Error Code] Bizhub C3110 Check paper Size Duplex 2

    Battling another one of these old C3110 models! This one has this strange message. I checked everywhere there is no paper jammed, machine never comes to ready. Powering off/on the machine & the message won't clear.

    What does 'Duplex 2' mean & why the check paper size message!?

      I had one when they have paper jammed and it was stuck where you open side door paper was coming for second side print and at some point was completely hidden I mean half a page not small piece. Check with another sheet if paper path is clear.

      P.S.
      You seem to have bad luck with these lately. KM color A4 machines are questionable at best wish you visit some more solid color A3 models

          I looked in the duplex unit even took it off to double check!

          We sold a few of these C3110 to care homes about 5 years ago starting to regret it now!

              Sounds like it might be a broken or really worn sensor actuator or maybe a bad sensor.
              Started in the copier service business in the fall of 1988 and worked at the same company for 33.5 years, becoming the senior tech in 2004 but left to pursue another career on 4/29/22.

                  If it was attempting to feed then jamming I would agree maybe a worn/broken actuator but my issue is this message never clears.

                  So yes possibly a failed sensor but trying to work out with sensor gives duplex 2 jam message.

                          Duplex conveyance sensor PS9 and exit sensor PS8 are the two sensors involved in the DUPLEX2 jam indication. If it's simpler to get to the PRCB you can check the signal output at CN14 pin3 to ground.

                          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
