    Bizhub C224e ADF issue

Hi Folks, we have an issue with C224e ADF, When we add paper to copy or scan on display came a message that we need to close the ADF, we change the front sensor under the plastic cover, but nothing change , rear sensor also is ok, when we open and close it scanner lamp shining. ADF is changed with other, also no luck, seems problem is in machine not in ADF. New firmware is installed and also PRCB was changed, but again same result.

is the magnet still on the lid?
can you do a sensor check and see what sensor is not working right?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Those feeders for the E series models were notorious early on for having all kinds of issues, is the feeder making good contact with the sensor arm in the back right corner of the machine? can you copy from the glass with the ADF closed and opened? Did you try another ADF board that mounts on the main board as well as the ribbon cable? It could also be a ADF main board issue although I would try that last.

The magnet is on ADF, as i said we change complete ADF from other machine and also check first ADF on other machine and all working, the sensor under the magnet also was changed without luck.

is it a dual scan feeder? then its probably the DSCB. ive replaced a dozen over the years for wonky stuff.

Yes the type of feeder would help, is it the DF624 or the DF701 (dual scan). Since you have swapped the whole feeder that would rule out DF boards, harness, magnet etc. Have you tried to initialize the machine? Or try ADF paper passage test in service mode? Do you have a different model feeder to test, in other words if there is a DF701 swap with a DF624. (don't forget to change DF type in service mode)

It was Df701 i swapped with single pass DF624 problem is still there, also Df701 working fluent in other machine. We made CLEAR ALL DATA no help. For sure in service mode we change DF type from single to dual . At last i exchange also scanner board behind up of the machine and still no work. I think problem is some wire from sensor that correspond with ADF magnet. PRCB dont receive signal from this sensor. This is just opinion i must check the wire way or test with multicet.

if you use the single sided feeder please tell me you also removed the dscb first?
it causes issues with a single sided feeder.
