    4 series week....

This week seems like most posts are for the 4 series. As good as these old dogs are / were they are getting to a point where more issues are happening. Many issues from weak batteries, scan issues because of security updates, etc etc. My customers still have around 25 of these and still working good. They won't upgrade until they completely die which I'm not sure they ever will.....

copyman we are seeing this too.
Still have plenty of them in the field most run flawlessly. They have some issues but most of them are well known and we cure them all. 8 series are still solid for us. Overall I'm happy camper going into KM world with such a great models.

We have an army of the old 200s, 250s, and 350s. 4 series aren't great but those are worse! Heck we are refurbishing used parts at this point.
Worked in IT for 12 years from Helpdesk up to System Administrator. Now working as the IT Manager at a copier company for the last 4 years.

If I helped you out, please give me a thumbs up! It helps my reputation.

Your salesman sucks. You should educate your customers. I know it's hard but EOL sheet and not re-using old parts is must.

The point is the 4 series are great! The 200 series were also good for their time but way past their bedtime! They should be put to sleep.
Unless you are in a country where you can't get machines than that's a different story. Reminds me of Cuba where they keep old American cars going anyway they can.

I still have a handful of the 200 series that I service. But I've told the customers a time will come where I can't get parts and they will have to make a decision. I've used all the parts I took off trade in's.
