    Konica Minolta Bizhub C652

I'm currently having some issues with my Bizhub C652. I had to replace the K Drum and noticed that the part marked on the image was broken and taped (bought used). I am waiting for the Konica Minolta DR612K (A0TK0RD) Black Drum Unit to arrive, what I don't see in the parts manual or the part description is if the whole drum assembly is what I purchased or just the Drum unit.

If someone can point me in the right direction I appreciate it.

thats on the DV unit. kinda important as it delivers fresh toner to the unit.
they dont come with new units, they are swapped over from unit to unit.
    So here it is. TDA.jpg

if the DV unit holes are stripped out i suggest either replace the dv unit or mix baking soda and superglue to a paste and apply in holes and hold the assy with screws in the "concrete" and it will harden quick enough. just make sure there is a good seal so the toner or dv wont spill out.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

The part number you are referencing represents just the drum unit and doesn't include the development unit which is the lower half of the assembly in your picture. The circled part is the cover attached to the toner chute between the toner hopper and the development unit. As Synthohol stated, that chute/cover was not included with new development units and it was expected that you would transfer the old chute over to the new dev unit.

The cover that you have circled performs 2 different duties. When the drum/dev assembly is removed from the copier, it is supposed to slide back up and cover the top of chute to prevent spills or foreign materials from getting into the dev unit. When installing the assembly into the copier, it would slide off the top of the chute and onto the side, where it was then used to push open the cover that is on the bottom of the toner hopper.

To be honest, unless you want take the time to replace it, having it taped there isn't that big of a deal. We had a good number of machines out in the field like this. Just make sure that it is securely taped to the side of the chute so that it can push open the cover on the bottom of the toner hopper. It that cover doesn't open properly, you will have toner addition problems.
