    C450i C164 and C163 errors

This machine has been a comedy of errors to work on. First the USB C connection on the mainboard was bad, so we replaced it with another used board. But that was all that was changed. I was getting several errors all pointing at a firmware update. The Firmware would not update, it kept telling me the NG. Did some troubleshooting, and figured out the SSD was bad, Replaced it. Then I updated the firmware again and it was still NG. After going around with this for a couple weeks, I was told the CPUB was bad so we sent it out for repair. When it came back, I installed it and Firmware finally updated. I thought I was done. But then I started getting a C164 error that would clear itself and then leave me with a C163. Long story short, the procedures tell me that the ERB is bad and needs to be replaced. So I put a new one in. And I am still getting a C164 that clears itself and then I get the C163 that stays. The firmware is up to date. I am left with the two problems but everything is telling me that there is no problem. I did also at one point reset the machine ID and Type. I changed it, rebooted and changed it back. Nothing changed. Any idea's?

Yep. I went back and checked it just to make sure, and it is the correct version. The function level has been set. Data has supposedly been recovered, but I have yet to get far enough to see that. Latest firmware has been installed. As far as I can tell the only thing wrong is an error C163.

I am open to any ideas at this time.

Swapping too many boards may brick the machine.

looking back, it was pretty much a brick when we got it.
