Konica Minolta C550i - recommended paper

    Hi guys,

does anyone have a guide on the recommended paper to use in a Konica minolta C550i,

customer has an issue with their own provided letter head where the pick up rollers mark their letter headed paper (looks like a dirt mark) it is defiantly not the rollers and also happened on their previous machine C284e, so i have advised it is down to their paper but they want to know the recommended type,

im sure there was a table guide of the recommended paper but cannot find it anywhere

I've seen friction transfer the ink/toner of a pre printed form to the blank spot under the tire. Is it possible to change the orientation 90 degrees, so the the image misses the feed tires? Paper is listed under the specification sheet, but you won't find any information about pre-printed forms.

Yeah, pre-printed is always a crap shoot, sometimes it works and others nothing you do can make it work. "But it always worked before!" maybe, but the customer has no idea if their source has changed anything about the paper or ink/toner used. My favorite are funeral homes with their pre-printed memorial cards, usually at least Thick2.

letterhead preprinted with a laser is much better than an ink press one. ink does not belong anywhere near 300 degrees surface and will likely offset.
plus if the ink isnt totally dry (like currency) this will happen.
take a dollar bill and rub it on a white paper. the ink comes off. same thing with inked letterhead.
since the machine has storage use their letterhead as an image to apply to whatever page.
check step 3 when you search letterhead and overlay image

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...
