Is workaround always. Here is another. Install Linux on old PC it will scan flawlessly and you can share it.
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
This are old models (Bizhub C452, Bizhub 4050 ...) in good working conditions, but filezilla stop working in W11, Most are churches waiting for funds for new equipment but in the meantime they need to scan
many times id find an old laptop or PC running xp or 7 at the client i would use as a scan server. hang it on the network somewhere and then just share the drive and map network drive to the W11 pcs. or filezilla as mentioned.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...
Is there somewhere a procedure (link e.t.c.) that describes how to do such setup for network scanning on Linux?
I saw in Ubuntu an small application called "Simple Scan" that allow you control the scanner device from the Desktop.
(The software drivers needed are preinstalled).
Another option is to use a NAS (Network-Attached Storage)
I don't use those because I'm looking something easier for my customers, like an APP for Windows 11

Good morning and thank you for your answer.
I really haven't any issue yet (fortunately all my customers are running Windows and Mac OS). But i would like to be prepaired if any case arises. What i am plannig to do is to load a Linux OS to an old LapTop and start "playing" with it.
Thank you again for your answer and i wish you a Happy New Year ...
No need to fuss around with Ubuntu only for scanning purpose.
I still have a customer using the ancient BH-C-353 and several others having the dinosaur BH-350 B&W series in use. They do not have the funds to get rid of good working — though old — equipment. All of these use FTP scanning. Their IT-goofs sometimes scream, that it is unsure. Really? If I’m a bank or having other sensitive information on my PC, OK, but for less sensitive data I see no problem. Anyway, in these insane times we are in, almost everybody is using social media and sharing their life already with millions of other totally unknown people, fascistoid leaders, etc....

Thanks Hans for your replay
I've never had any problems using Konica Minolta FTP utility and/or Filezilla, but Windows 11 is giving me a headache.
I'm going to try it and I'll keep you posted on anything that happens.
I configured Scan to FTP on my friend's old Bizhub 423 using Filezilla server on Windows 11. I checked the notes I took during the setup. The notes included this comment:
.Needed to allow filezilla server through windows firewall (added it as an app exception).
Perhaps check the firewall configuration? Can you describe the issue you are having in more detail? Are you able to connect to your Filezilla server using the Filezilla client (from a different PC) to confirm your server is accessible?
Under General Tasks > Show Server Log, you can see if and how data is being processed by the FTP server. Very convenient.
Just did today an installation on a W11 machine whose customer is using an old BH-C-280 from 2009 not having the Latest&Greatest SMB protocol on it. 😆
Works perfect.
Good luck!
This client has 5 users with W10, they scan with SMB and filezilla,
suddenly the other user with windows 11 Home edition could not scan anymore.
Our technician could not find the problem so I took the call, checked the network settings, the firewall, the 2 printers etc.
I could access the scan's folder from other computers, apparently everything was fine but sometimes it scanned and other times it didn't,
I tried with Filezilla, Quick 'n Easy FTP Server Lite and IIS on both copiers without being able to solve the problem
TROUBLESHOOTING
Scanning the network I found another router connected to the main router, although both routers have the same IP
addresses they are independent and the PC with windows 11 was the only one with access to both networks, so some-
times it worked and other times it didn't. And another problem was the user constantly changing the network from
Private to Public, disabling the scanner function
Although both solutions are simple, they are sometimes difficult to find because they are so unusual. In the end, I
explained the client that in order to scan in Windows 11 he had to use the private network and also connected his
computer with a cable to the router and disabled WiFi
