Konica BH C458 SMB scan to folder windows server 2019 issues

Having an issue SMB scan to folder to window server 2019. Tried everyone. login error every time. Same credentials work fine on clients other Xerox Altalink. I've checked the credentials a dozen times to make sure there's no error.

Wierd I'm able to smb scan to folder on window PC (tested ok) but not to the server...any ideas?

    Firmware updated to latest version.

    thanks

Check the client settings on the copier. Enable kerberos and all other authentiation methods. Are you using WINS or DNS? If so does an IP work?

Thank you! I have checked and tried multiple client settings including the kerberos.. Using DNS. I have tried using host name and ip address of server without any luck.

Can the copier ping the IP address? Can the server ping the copier?

You said you updated the firmware but what about the function version? The latest firmware we have is GCR-Y2 with function version 4.2. Check dip switch 25 for hex B0.

The file path section in the address book should be using back slashes. For example if you had a windows share called "shared-files" and a folder in that share called "scans" you would need to enter: "shared-files\scans". If you want it in the root of the share, "shared-files". No trailing slash needed.

SMB is like a series of locked doors. You have to allow SMB user connections to the share and then the file system underneath has to have permissions that allow that user to write to it. Does the service user for the copier have the correct permissions set in Windows?

Are you getting a 107 error when you scan?

Thank you! The error I get is "16711713" which when I look up it's a login error.

99% of the time i add a user called scans with a password that wont expire, (usually Scanner01!) make it an administrator and add the user scans with full permissions of the shared folder.
test the access from another pc using the scan credentials you just made. if you can access the folder so can the bizhub usually.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                The medication helps though...

thank you!!! We will try that today...

The path I was given by IT has multiple sub-folders..do you think that has anything to do with the issue?

You can test the path & credentials using another Windows PC on the same network.
Click the Windows logo, enter the path, then hit enter. If the path is valid, you will be prompted for a username and password; path is good.
If after entering user and pass, you cannot access that folder or are asked for credentials again, your credentials are the problem.
Below is an example of a local path but the process is the same:

Go to active directory and search your scan user name in this style "name@name.com"
On bizhub use this login name with the @
