    What jam code?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

72-21 as I recall. I will see if I still have the management list somewhere.

SIDE NOTE: KM is going to be the death of me. Their manuals are abhorrent. What the heck is a duplex unit called in the parts manual?!?

          REVERSAL UNIT?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...

If you're looking in an xx8 series manual it's called: ADU unit or ADU transport unit (pg G-124 of the xx8 series manual). Reversal is performed by the paper exit unit (also a duplex function, also pg G-124). Yes, each manufacturer must re-name each unit. There is no standard name, lol.

J72-21 is usually caused by a problem with the set eject belts.
            1) They could be out of time (one pawl ahead of the other)
            2) They may not be turning at all (damage to the pulse wheel or belt)
            3) You may have assembled something incorrectly, or left something unplugged.

There are multiple updates to that set eject unit. If it is old style, your best bet is to replace the unit rather than to try to do all the updates.

I have replaced the eject unit. The next KM suggestion is to replace the middle paddle. The DSM suggested I can get to it from the top.
