At the risk of being simple-minded: What is its connection?
Apologies, I don't have it installed on the machine.

Not sure why I included it but, I only glanced across KM manuals online and saw the name given as is. It was the article with the different parts of the finisher; it said "Finisher FS-539/Punch kit (PK-524)".

we had this issue and it turned out to be the static brushes in the SD unit, replaced them and machine worked fine

        Thanks for the insight.

Would you have the part code or an image of it? That would really be appreciated

Interesting! - always wondered how important those were. So is this problem more common when the office is dry (as in cold weather)?

There must be five or six rails of those brushes. Did you replace all of them?

the machine was located next a huge window and you could feel the cold air passing through,

we used this guide (Attached) we added the extra static brush and also replaced the one as soon as i enters the SD unit, there should be a black up/down guide next to it.

the finisher would hardly jam when it was doing the crooked booklets but when it did it came up with 7286, slanted folders, stapled incorrectly..
