    Bizhub pro 1100 fuser roller

I noticed in one of 1100 machine upper fuser roller is not as on others machines.
Original upper roller is grey and teflon type and this one is red and soft type.
It turned out this red soft roller is much more resistant to wearing and scratching.
Can somebody confirm from which machine is this red soft roller so i can order it.
I did some researching and it looks it could be roller from 1052/1200/1250 but can not be sure because i never had deal with this machines.

I believe i inadvertently ordered that roller for a 951. Do your homework however, as there was a dipsw change to tell the machine that type of roller was installed.

That is the roller for a 1052/1250. The 951 uses a hard teflon coated roller. The 1100 uses a roller that is outer dimensionally identical to the 951/1250, but is a much thinner and lighter to allow for faster warm up. While a 951, and 1250 roller will work in an 1100/2100. The result is that the machine will run constantly (sounds as if it is calibrating the developer)while it is idling.

Thank you for confirmation and clarification.
I checked price and it is almost double price for 1052 fusing roller comparing to 1100.
Regarding warm up behaviour you described, i did not notice any difference betwean 2 machines next to each other with different rollers.

Interesting. Might have to do with individual temp settings in the DIP switches. We had several 1100's here that we had installed 951 rollers in and many of them would just run intermittently while idling.

In the past, when I have substituted fuser rollers that where the same physical measurements, but different thicknesses of materials, I have gotten fuser codes, and melt-downs. The one I remember best was a Sharp Tiger which I had substituted a Sharp Jupiter1 heat roller. Physically it was the same size, but the Jupiter roller was thinner, to get a quicker warmup time. As a result I would get fuser codes during warmup. Once it reached temperature it worked alright, but if it went to sleep the codes returned immediately.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
