    Parts problems 1051

Are any others are having trouble finding parts for their 1051? Gets where my machine stays down more than it runs now. Right now, I cannot find receiving plate assembly 15AN52822F. Not in stock anywhere. Can't even find the plastic insert 15ANPA0900. Toner has been available but expensive. Does anyone have a source where I can look?

Strange, I just ordered one of those receiving plates not too long ago from DCC. Probably a container full of them off Long Beach.

DCC is out along with arc services. The C8000 version for the SD-506 is all over the place. Having trouble with Fuser rolls as well unless one wants to pay $400 for one. I found the upper but lower roll isn't available. It can be ordered by Ali express but it is 6 weeks out.

I have had no luck with the knockoff lowers for this series of machine. From shit bearings to the outer layer completely peeling away they are all crap. Just have to bite the bullet on it and spend the cash.
Arc Services sells a great aftermarket UFR for those. Lasts longer than OEM. It's a pinkish peach colored roller.

That's what I ordered about 3 hours ago. Good to hear I did alright with that one. May have to get by with upper. The lower one is so far, undamaged. The upper one is delaminating. Until I can get this receiver plate issue addressed, I won't have trimming capability.

              I do not have a C8000. It is a 1051.

If a model T is all I have I have no choice but to drive it. Replacing it is not an option. We are a private print shop and are barely getting by day to day. It's not like I can get up from bed and say, "I think I will buy a varioprint today."

The following 'issues' with the machine was the seller, from an outfit in California, cobbled the machine out of finisher parts it wasn't supposed to have. They put an FD-501 on it and an SD-501. Neither were supposed to be used. The SD-501 was for the 1050 but the SD-506 was for the 1051. Same with the FD-501. We got stuck with the SD-501 because local dealer didn't go back to seller and force them to make it right. So, instead, they installed firmware to make it work with the 1051. If we had the right finisher with the machine to begin with, this would be a non issue. Thanks for everyone's input. Unless I can find this part on ebay or amazon, we'll just have to forget about trimming books.

I really have no idea since transaction was between the dealer and them. I just found it on fleabay. We've bought 2 pieces of used equipment that was supposed to be refurbished but instead were gutted out machines. The 1051 came in with 44000 copies but drum and fuser was worn out. The 6500 we got in 09 was the same. Supposed to be refurbished but they gutted the good parts out after we inspected machine. Should have security taped it shut. I will next time.

Thanks to all. A member here had a receiver plate so I got one. Still waiting on that upper fuser roll to come in.
