    Just to be clear put the bad CPU "with" the original storage. I guess the key here is as long as door is open no harm will be done. Would hate to brick another machine

      Reinstall only CPU-B from another copier, leave STRG-B. If the machine starts, it means that your machine is functional and the fault is CPU-B,
      I've done it dozens of times, the test using an SD card is easier.
