    Konica C224 copy problem

    Hi everyone

I have a strange problem on a Konica C224 The internal prints are perfect no quality problems.
When I make a photocopy, the top part of the document appears very light. (Please see the attached document). I've tried cleaning all the glass and replacing the CCD, but nothing has worked. Could it be an issue with the LED exposure? Do you have any advice for me?

does it do the exact same through the feeder?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

shrink the copy to 50%, does the issue shrink too?

remove and clean the PH unit, on these "earlier" models, quite often the copy/print was faded in one area, but on the internal prints everything was fine. I could never explain it. But taking out the PH and cleaning the glass for each colour resolved the issue. Using the cleaning wand makes no difference .
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

It seems strange to me if the prints turn out well. I'm aware of this issue, but usually, it's also visible in print. Have you ever encountered a case where the print was good, but the copy wasn't?

Are you referring to copy density?

Yes, I had a couple of C454e that were driving me crazy, it just didn't make sense, even tried different DVs and DRs, used the wand to clean the glass, eventually took the PH out and cleaned, put it back, and everything was good after that.

They are doing conversations of scanned image before actual print process. I can imagine something is lost during this process resulting in what you have been seen. Good catch 👍

Update: The issue was indeed the PH unit. After disassembling and cleaning the polygon mirror, everything started working again.
Thanks everyone, especially King Arthur, for the great suggestion
