SD-511 staple problem

Greetings Programs!
I have an SD-511 installed in an FS-536 attached to a C458 that is only stapling one side of a saddle stitch.
Both staplers fire, as evidenced by impressions left in the fold, but there is no staple inserted.
I have tried 3 different staple cartridges and done of them will actually staple on that side.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

sounds like you have a jammed staple in the staple unit itself. Examine it closely you may have to pull out the staple unit to find it

There's my issue... I've been using drool, doughnuts and apathy
