You guys are pretty smart, someone has to have figured this out. How can I set (fudge) the meshing of the VR1 gear so it registers the correct paper size? I've already had the drawer apart twice (remove lift motor, wires and lift plate) in order to get to the darn thing. Why doesn't the SM give a resistance measurement for a specific paper size so I can just take this apart once?

Re: KM paper size sensor VR1 adjustment
Most other KMs have a calibration in service mode. I don't know for sure about the DI850. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

All good now, don't know how I missed that in the SM. Guess that's one that I hadn't run into before. Thanks to allComment
