    i series fuser settings?

Are there any conclusions on what service, admin, soft sw, settings to help if machine has original old style fuser? I've read posts here and k/m bulletins about the fuser issues but still not clear if anything can be done. I've bought off lease machines with meters under 20K and tested good but after a few weeks print smeared and had to replace the fusers. Guess what I'm asking is if anything can be done to prolong life of old style fusers on low meter machines? Thanks in advance

Other than check the serial number against this list. Looks like you have to fit a version 2 fuser unit & update the firmware.

I don't recall seeing that offsetting bulletin on this side of the pond. The settings are worth a try. Thanks
