C224e, more copies than requested, cannot be stopped until power cycled

    Never had this question before.

"Customer calls me and asked How can I fix my printer printing too many copies from AirPrint?
Whenever i use both my iPad or iPhone to print from my Konica C224e printer, it always prints out more copies than I’ve requested, even if it’s just 1 copy selected in airprint, it won’t stop until I turn off the printer."

When I checked it out in person, Printing from the computers works fine. And it only happens with apple devices. Apple devices were printing to the Konica fine until just recently. No Konica settings were changed. On Airprint verified that 1 copy was selected.

I believe that airprint on the phone is now expecting some response from the printer which it doesn't receive and therefor keeps resending the print job over and over again. The print jobs are registered in the joblist as different print jobs so cancellling them has no effect. Only cycling power stops the job.

    Hi,
I had the same problem with a customer...
I solved it by installing the "Konica Minolta Mobile Print" app on my smartphone.
    On both iOS and Android.

Yes, I already made that same recommendation to the customer.................told him that with this issue from multiple apple devices, he may have no other option than to use the Konica mobile print app instead.

have them try konica mobile print, if it works fine then maybe airprint is broken on their fruityphone. its only gonna print what it receives.
id have them re-logon to the wireless network and delete then reload the printer but check all the settings, thats a weird one.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...

Changes that CrApple has made to AirPrint makes it no longer compatible with any of the 4e-series machines. They either need to move to the KM Mobile Print app, stop printing from their CrApple phones, or upgrade to a newer model copier. No other way to make it work.

I told them to use that mobile app instead. Thanks for the reply, my friend.
