[Dead] Help after Backup Battery Replacement on bizhub C224e – TPM / Serial Number Issues

    Hello everyone,

I recently replaced the soldered backup battery on my Konica Minolta bizhub C224e, because the old battery was almost dead (0.6 V). The new battery has the correct voltage (~3.3 V).

After the replacement, the machine starts up again, but I immediately get the message:
    • “Please enter Serial Number”

I was able to enter the serial number in the service menu successfully. However, afterwards the machine shows:
    • “TPM-Chip has been changed. Initialize your TPM settings.”

I could not find an option to initialize the TPM in the service menu. Also, there is no NVRAM reset option visible.
I have not installed new firmware, changed any modules, or made any other modifications to the device.

My goal is to get the machine fully operational again, without error messages.

Does anyone have experience with resolving TPM/NVRAM issues on the C224e after a battery replacement? Or is there a known way to initialize the TPM settings when the menu option is not visible?

Thank you in advance for any help!

    Best regards,
    Norbert

i would boot to a firmware stick but choose machine/type first and make sure its correct and not FF FF.
    then install firmware.
do you have access to firmware?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Install firmware J9 than go in service menu Stop 0 C and you will have there button to initialize TPM.

        Hi,

thank you very much for your advice. I don’t have access to the firmware at the moment.
The machine type is indeed C224e.

Do you happen to have access to the firmware, or could you give me any hint on how to get it?

        Thanks again for your help!

        Best regards,
        Norbert
