758 958 toner reset engine switch?

Hi guys, can anyone please help with the engine sw to reset the toner level?

Don't have a manual with me now, going to check if its in the manual.

Would the 758 and 958 switches be the same?

According to the manual which is for three machines (758, 808 and 958), there is no reset for toner.

Not in manual allan. I would try the C258 switches, black was 31 if I remember correctly.

Engine soft switch

31 Choice of toner reset mode (Y)
32 Choice of toner reset mode (M)
33 Choice of toner reset mode (C)
34 Choice of toner reset mode (K)
Then touch Reboot the MFP from Service Mode, your toner will reset to 100%.

Thank you guys. Will give it a go today.

We have a short on TN712, 812 and 912.
Been taking the chips from TN512's if have been moding to TN321 and using the ICP's to make the decanted bottles reset.

Ok i tried it on a C658. I wanted to clear Cyan so that would be switch 33.
Am i a t the right place going to "stop 0 clear" engine FW soft switch?

I then highlight 33 touch end to go back to the main service screen and restart the machine.
But nothing changed.

Must be doing something wrong.

That should be correct allan but I think You have to exit frome service mode to make switch work. I did it once on C258 K toner and it worked.

Should say reboot at bottom of screen. At least it does on i series.

I trust you guys, but I can't find anything in the 8 series manuals about the toner reset mode. It's right there in the i series manual, but in the 8 series manual Engine FW switches 31-34 are listed as not used. Is this something they added later?

Afaik not. But good question it may work after some FW/Function version.
