    KM C3851FS C9401 Code

I have a new customer with a C3851 throwing a C9401 code. It locks out the Df after this to continue. Could this be something simple besides all of the boards it mentions in the service manual. I have seem issues on other brands where the sensor could not see the lamp good enough. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Doug

check the scanner belt, they tend to break.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

You really didn't give any information as to what you've done so far, so lets start with the most basic I guess...
Does the scanner bulb even light up?

From the Resolution article relating to this code:

      Model(s):
      bizhub C3351, bizhub C3851, bizhub C3851FS

      Description:
      C-9401

      Explanation:
      -Exposure lamp lighting failure detected
-The output from the CCD sensor is a predetermined value or less during CCD sensor gain adjustment

      Step1:
      1. Check the connector between scanner unit-MFPB CN23, CN103 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
      2. Check for possible extraneous light and correct as necessary.
      3. Clean the lens, mirrors, CCD surface, and shading sheet if dirty.

      Step 2:
Perform MFPB ICP7, PTC802E conduction check

      Step 3:
      Replace the scanner unit

      Step 4:
      Replace MFPB
