A message is coming out that only black and white printing of the ligament is printed.

That's funny, that 364e Sticker does not look very legit

Not shure what happened, that firmware versions looks right.
Perhaps the machine type has been changed due to a bad handling or empty battery.
Can you get into the settings and check the counter data - might be lost, too.
If you check the toner status display, does it show the bars for C/M/Y, too?

You can also try and unset/uninstall the fax kit and see if the machine behaves normal without it.

There must be something that happened before this..Did you replace any kind of board? I'm guessing what every you did caused the fax to self isolate, or it was isolated in service mode..Why are you concerned that a B&W device will not produce color jobs???E

I would see no reason fo KM to display a "warning" that the machine can only do black/white prints WHEN IT IS a Black/White only machine. Thats like having a warning in your car aing "This Car cant fly"

LOL, I missed that. I suppose somebody may gave loaded "C" firmware to a monochrome machine. Maybe it's a "C" machine that has been gutted, so it can only do monochrome?

We have seen this message, along with the fax message, on a couple B&W models when the data gets corrupted by a nearly dead battery. One of the machines had the fax message even though it didn't have a fax installed. When that data gets corrupt, all sorts of crazy things happen.
